A single biblical verse provides the starting point for “By Faith Isaac” by Elsa Henderson, a faith-based historical narrative that takes a closer look at Isaac's place among the figures commended for their faith in Hebrews 11. The book will be featured by The Maple Staple at the 78th Frankfurt Book Fair, taking place October 7–11, 2026, at Messe Frankfurt, with the title presented at Hall 5.1, Stand D86.


The first half of “By Faith Isaac” traces the faith journey of Abraham, Isaac's father, and the lessons he seeks to pass on to his son through carefully imagined conversations grounded in the biblical account. When Abraham faces his greatest test of faith, Isaac is brought into an experience that begins to shape his own understanding of trust and obedience. Later, following his marriage to Rebekah, Isaac encounters circumstances that present him with a different dimension of faith than those faced by the generations before him. Blending biblical foundations with imaginative storytelling, Henderson brings familiar Old Testament figures into a more personal narrative, offering readers a fresh perspective on the people, relationships, and experiences behind the biblical account.

At the 78th Frankfurt Book Fair, The Maple Staple will showcase “LOH” by Rajeev Nanda, a science fiction thriller that brings together technological experimentation, religious prophecy, and questions surrounding human existence. “LOH” brings science and spirituality into a world where technological breakthroughs begin to echo an ancient prophecy. Secret experiments involving time manipulation, artificial consciousness, and human hybrids take an unexpected turn when a mysterious scroll appears at the Vatican, raising the possibility of a divine return. As religious leaders and powerful forces confront its implications, tensions surrounding faith, technology, and political ambition begin to intensify. Blending science fiction, thriller, and religious mystery, the novel offers readers a suspenseful exploration of consciousness, belief, and the forces that could reshape civilization. 


Rajeev Nanda brings more than four decades of experience in the hi-tech industry to his writing. Beginning his career as a software developer, he went on to hold management and leadership roles, working with cross-functional and international teams and C-suite executives on strategic programs. His background in technology informs “LOH,” particularly its exploration of artificial consciousness, emerging technologies, and the relationship between humanity and machines. 


Outside the technology industry, Nanda writes books, blogs, and articles on subjects that interest him, with his recent work increasingly exploring philosophical and spiritual themes. He lives in California and enjoys reading, photography, cycling, and long walks.

Mountains can serve as places of physical challenge while also providing a setting for reflection on fear, courage, uncertainty, and the choices that shape life itself. In “Reflections on Mountaineering: A Journey Through Life as Experienced in the Mountains,” Alan V. Goldman explores these connections through a collection of 148 narrative-style poems. Now in its Fifth Edition, Revised and Expanded, with Addendum: 2024, the poetry collection draws on more than 30 years of Goldman's climbing experiences with fellow mountaineers. The book will be displayed by The Maple Staple at the 78th Frankfurt Book Fair, taking place October 7–11, 2026, at Messe Frankfurt, Hall 5.1, Stand D86.


Written in a range of forms, including rhyming verse, blank verse and prose-poems, the collection considers the moral and emotional questions that become particularly vivid in the mountain setting. The Author reflects on awe and fear, luck and fate, the lure of the high mountains, and the way climbers perceive the passage of time during the course of performing feats of great wonder in the mountain. Other poems examine the preparation, discipline, situational awareness, the perceived passage of time, success and defeat, and the personal significance climbers attach to their experiences while climbing. Moreover, for lovers of poetry, mountaineering literature, and reflective writing, the collection offers an opportunity to consider how the challenges encountered on a mountain can mirror those faced in everyday life.


The author's background consists of a long-standing avocation in mountaineering combined with a professional career in law. He graduated from Horace Mann preparatory school in 1975, Harvard College in 1979, and Harvard Law School in 1982. Thereafter, he practiced law involving litigation during mergers and acquisitions, as well as litigation of class actions involving toxic torts and other environmental matters. His work “Reflections on Mountaineering” displays an interest in the relationship between physical experiences and broader questions of human meaning. Also, additional poems are available through his website, mountainreflections.art, where many of his book's poems are recorded in his own voice, offering another way to experience his work.


At the 78th Frankfurt Book Fair, “Reflections on Mountaineering: A Journey Through Life as Experienced in the Mountains,” will introduce international readers and literary professionals to Goldman's distinctive combination of poetry, mountaineering experience, and philosophical reflection.
