The hand-built ice attraction, founded in 2010, makes its Québec debut.

MONTRÉAL, Oct. 21, 2026 /CNW/ -- Ice Castles today announced it will bring its interactive winter experience to Montréal for the first time this winter at Espace 67 at Parc Jean-Drapeau, in partnership with the park. It will be the first Ice Castles ever built in Québec.

Set in one of the city's most iconic parks, Ice Castles Montréal will welcome families and visitors into an immersive world built entirely of ice: hand-sculpted tunnels, archways, towers and caverns that come alive at night with color-changing LED lights glowing from within the ice.

"Montréal is one of the world's great winter cities, and we're proud to introduce Ice Castles here for the first time," said Kyle Standifird, CEO of Ice Castles. "Parc Jean-Drapeau is an exceptional setting, and we can't wait to share this magical winter experience with Montrealers and visitors this coming season."

It all began in 2010, when founder Brent Christensen set out to build a winter playground for his kids in the front yard of their home in Alpine, Utah. The crowds who came to see his frozen creation led him to refine the patented process Ice Castles still uses today. Each castle is built by a team of ice artisans who grow, harvest and hand-place tens of thousands of icicles over several weeks.
