Recent Thailand Media Reports Regarding the 25th Thailand Onshore Bid Round

CALGARY, AB, Sept. 16, 2026 /CNW/ -- CanAsia Energy Corp. ("CanAsia") (CEC – TSXV) CanAsia has just been made aware of articles circulating in the Thailand media stating, among other things, that the Government of Thailand Cabinet has approved the grant of concession rights for the L8/66 exploration block onshore Thailand to CanAsia and Pan Orient Energy (Siam) Limited ("POES").
As previously announced, CanAsia, together with POES, submitted a bid to the government of Thailand pursuant to the onshore Thailand 25th licensing round for a contract to explore for, develop, produce, and market oil or gas, in the L8/66 exploration block onshore Thailand (the "Concession"). CanAsia will have a non-operated 30% participating interest in the Concession and POES will be the operator.
At this time, neither CanAsia nor its partners have been formally notified that: a) the consortium is the winning bidder for concession L8, or b) the timing of any awards. The company will update shareholders immediately upon the receipt of further information regarding this matter.
