LAS VEGAS, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- High Stakes Poker has a new record holder.
Eric Wasserson won the largest pot in High Stakes Poker history Saturday night, capturing a staggering $2,478,000 pot during the August 29 livestream broadcast by PokerGO®, the world's largest poker content and streaming company.
The $2,478,000 pot surpassed the previous High Stakes Poker record of $2,421,500, won by Santhosh Suvarna during Season 16 of the iconic cash-game series.
After aggressive preflop action, there was nearly $600,000 in the middle before the dealer fanned the nine-seven-four flop. Both Andrew Robl and Wasserson checked to see the three of diamonds come on the turn, adding a second diamond to the board. Robl checked, Wasserson bet $200,000, and Robl raised all in for what was effectively $940,000. Wasserson found the call to create the largest pot in High Stakes Poker history.
The two high-stakes legends ran it twice, and Wasserson won both times, securing him the record-setting haul.
When the final chips were pushed Wasserson's way, the pot totaled $2,478,000, officially making it the largest ever recorded across more than two decades of High Stakes Poker.
Wasserson's record-breaking hand came during a special week of High Stakes Poker livestreams from the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, presented by CoinPoker and featuring some of the biggest names and highest-stakes cash-game players in poker.
The historic pot adds another chapter to a remarkable year for High Stakes Poker. Suvarna had established the previous record earlier in 2026 when he won a $2,421,500 pot. Wasserson eclipsed that mark just months later.
High Stakes Poker debuted in 2006 and has become poker's most iconic televised and streamed cash game, producing some of the biggest and most memorable hands in the game's history.
